Product Development Manager

Permanent position, Antalya – Türkiye

Are you passionate about marketing and development in horticulture? Do you have experience in evaluating varieties and identifying products that meet local market needs? You enjoy leading a team and keen to learn more about the Product Development Manager position we have available from April 1st?

What will you do?

As a member Sakata Turkish team, you will use your market knowledge to coordinate the definition and development of our product portfolio within the country. In this role, you will manage both people and trials:

As Manager, you will lead a team of 3 Product Developers in their development and support them to achieve the objectives of the company. You will be responsible for coordinating the execution of crop-based marketing plans and related actions throughout Türkiye.

Trials management:

• Manage the evaluation and development of new varieties, positioning our varieties in the right slot and segment.

• Plan, organise, monitor and assess all trial activities and processes for pre-commercial and commercial varieties with external partners.

• Develop the trial network for your area and stay updated on local market trends and requirements.

You will provide accurate technical support to the Sakata sales team, business partners and growers in terms of variety features, benefits and positioning.

Where will you work?

You will be based at the Gaziler research station in Antalya and will travel frequently in Türkiye to meet our clients in the fields. You will balance your travel and office hours depending on peak activity and weather conditions.

You will be part of Sakata’ team in Türkiye, working with colleagues at both local and EMEA level.

Do you fit this profile?

You have a degree in agriculture, with previous experience in vegetables crops and team management.

You are at ease working in the office, as well as in the fields and greenhouses, exposed to heat and cold.

You value the importance of communication and collaboration.

As you will join an international company, a good level of English is needed (written and spoken), as well as a good command of the MS Office package (Excel).
