KWS Group is looking for a strong, purpose driven Head of Country to lead our commercial operations in Türkiye.

In this key leadership role, you will drive the profitable growth of our crop portfolio across all sales channels, always with a clear focus on serving farmers and customers through the right route to market - whether via (semi-)direct sales, distributor networks, or strategic industry partnerships such as sugar industry.

Combining strategic responsibility with people focused leadership, you will strengthen KWS’s market position through effective planning, inclusive sales leadership, customer centric marketing, and forward-looking product development. This role is based in Eskisehir, Türkiye, and unlimited and full-time.

 

Head of Country Türkiye

Your Responsibilities:

  • Lead the transformation towards a customer-centric commercial organization across all crops.
  • Define national sales objectives and action plans together with the Sales Team, based on performance analysis, market dynamics, and customer needs.
  • Own fiscal year sales planning, budgeting, and forecasting in close collaboration with the Regional Commercial Team.
  • Lead and develop cross-crop sales, marketing, and product development teams, fostering strong cross-functional collaboration.
  • Build and maintain strong, sustainable customer partnerships, proactively addressing challenges to enhance loyalty and long-term profitability.
  • Drive marketing strategies, campaigns, and pricing initiatives in alignment with sales objectives and brand positioning.
  • Establish and continuously develop a holistic customer relationship management approach (Salesforce.com).
  • Ensure a sustainable team structure, including talent development, succession planning, performance and compensation management, in close cooperation with HR.
  • Ensure full compliance with KWS headquarters guidelines, local regulations, and governance frameworks; act with integrity and transparency at all times.
  • Act as Managing Director and legal representative of the company, representing shareholder interests alongside fellow Managing Directors.
  • Support and contribute to local and global process improvement initiatives.

Your Profile:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture, Business Administration, or a related field; a higher academic degree is an advantage.
  • Solid people management experience in international or global organizations, ideally within the agricultural sector, with proven success in leading large, diverse teams in matrix environments.
  • Solid understanding of sales contracts and contract management principles.
  • Fluency in Turkish and English, both written and spoken.
  • Willingness and ability to travel domestically (and internationally).
  • Ability to stay focused, resilient, and effective when working under pressure in dynamic environments.
  • A leadership mindset grounded in integrity: you act ethically, comply with regulations and company policies, and lead by example in building trust-based, responsible business practices.
  • Possessing knowledge of the local agricultural market and distribution landscape, ideally within seeds, fertilizers, or crop protection products, is of great advantage.
