F&B Hostess

We are looking for an experienced and dynamic Hostess to join our team at The Grand Tarabya Istanbul, managed by Accor.

Job Description

In this role, you will be responsible for welcoming and seating guests, managing reservations, and creating a warm and inviting atmosphere in our dining areas. The ideal candidate will bring excellent communication skills, a professional demeanor, and a guest-focused mindset to ensure a memorable dining experience

Responsibilities

• Greeting and welcoming guests as they arrive at the restaurant.
• Escorting guests to their tables and providing them with menus.
• Taking reservations and managing the seating plan to ensure efficient operation.
• Providing recommendations on food and drink selections, along with information about specials and promotions.
• Ensuring that guests are attended to promptly and addressing any requests or concerns they may have.
• Coordinating with the kitchen and serving staff to ensure smooth service.
• Handling guest inquiries, feedback, and complaints in a professional and courteous manner.
• Maintaining a clean and organized work environment.
• Assist in setting up and clearing tables to ensure a smooth flow of service.
• Collaborate with the restaurant manager and staff to ensure that guest preferences and special requests are accommodated.
• Maintain knowledge of the restaurant's menu items, ingredients, and preparation methods to provide accurate information to guests.
• Help with administrative tasks such as taking reservations, managing guest lists, and updating restaurant seating arrangements.
• Assist in maintaining a high standard of cleanliness and hygiene in the dining area.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Friendly and welcoming demeanour.
• Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment.
• Knowledge of food and beverage offerings.
• Previous experience in a similar role, preferably in a fine dining establishment.
• Strong organizational and customer service skills.
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Fluency in Turkish and English.
