Patent Supervisor

We are looking for an "Patent Supervisor" to join our R&D Center located in Esenyurt.

Qualıfıcatıons

• Qualified Turkish Patent Agent/Attorney is preferable
• Master’s degree in science/ pharmacy from reputed University
• Experience of minimum 8 years in IP department of reputed pharmaceutical company/ organization
• Good Experience of managing and leading a team members
• Exceptional skill of motivating team members and assesses their performance
• Excellent knowledge of IP laws of various regulated countries like US, EU, CA, AU, etc. apart from TR
• In-depth knowledge of Patent/Prior Art Searching Databases like Sci-Finder, STN, Derwent, Orbit®, Newport, etc.

Job Description

• Strong experience in Patent Searching, Patent Analytics, Patent Landscaping, Freedom to Operate (FTO) and Infringement Analysis for chemical and biotechnological products.
• Comprehensive knowledge of Intellectual Property laws and practices in major regulated jurisdictions including US, EU, CA, AU, in addition to Turkey (TR).
• Independently lead and manage patent search and analysis activities for both in-house R&D projects and CRO-based projects, ensuring strategic IP positioning.
• Advanced proficiency in Patent and Prior Art search databases such as SciFinder, STN, Derwent, Newport and similar professional platforms.
• Expertise in drafting, filing and prosecuting patent applications, including preparation of high-quality specifications and strategic claim drafting.
• Manage and supervise patent application processes, including responding to office actions and examination reports from patent offices in different jurisdictions.
• Provide strategic support to New Product Selection and R&D decision-making processes by preparing comprehensive preliminary and detailed patent reports.
• Oversee preparation of patent reports for product selection and regulatory/YÜK approval processes, ensuring IP risks and opportunities are clearly identified.
• Act as a key advisor to senior management on IP strategy, patentability, competitive intelligence and portfolio development in chemical and biotechnology domains.
