We are looking for a Senior Environmental Specialist to be assigned at our headquarters in Maslak, Istanbul, for CoreX Metals & Mining.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in environmental engineering or a related field
• Minimum 5 years of experience in mining, metallurgy, industrial operations, or multi-site corporate environments
• Strong knowledge of environmental legislation, EIA processes, permitting requirements, and regulatory compliance
• Experience in managing environmental permits, official reporting obligations, and regulatory inspections
• Experience in environmental KPI tracking, reporting, and performance analysis
• Knowledge of mine waste management, tailings storage facilities, wastewater, emissions, and dust control systems
• Familiarity with ISO 14001 Environmental Management Systems and audit processes
• Experience in GHG inventory, carbon footprint, water footprint, and sustainability reporting frameworks such as CSRD, GRI, or similar standards is preferred
• Experience working with international lenders and standards such as IFC Performance Standards or Equator Principles is an advantage
• Strong analytical thinking, reporting, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills
• Proficient in MS Office applications; ERP or environmental data systems experience is an advantage
• Advanced proficiency in English

Responsibilities:

• Develop, implement, and standardize environmental management standards across CoreX Metals & Mining operations and subsidiaries
• Ensure full compliance with environmental legislation, permits, licenses, and internal corporate standards across all sites
• Coordinate Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) processes, permit renewals, and regulatory applications for ongoing and new projects
• Monitor and analyze environmental KPIs including waste, emissions, water consumption, energy efficiency, rehabilitation, and compliance performance
• Monitor and coordinate GHG inventory, carbon footprint, and water footprint data collection, consolidation, and reporting processes
• Prepare regular environmental reports, management summaries, and executive presentations
• Conduct environmental audits, compliance reviews, site inspections, and follow-up of corrective and preventive actions
• Coordinate waste management, tailings storage facilities, wastewater, air emissions, dust control, and environmental monitoring programs
• Support ESG reporting, sustainability initiatives, and continuous environmental improvement projects
• Liaise with authorities, consultants, laboratories, and internal stakeholders regarding environmental matters
