Purpose of the Role

The Technical Service and Application Engineer will provide installation, commissioning, maintenance, and troubleshooting services to ensure:

• Reliable operation of products and systems
• Strong technical expertise in after-sales support
• Effective documentation and reporting of service activities

Key Responsibilities

• Perform installation, commissioning, and maintenance of process instrumentation, automation devices, and systems
• Design and manufacture tailored electrical control panels
• Provide technical support on-site or remotely to customers
• Diagnose, repair, and calibrate equipment
• Prepare service reports and maintain customer documentation
• Deliver training to customer staff on product usage, maintenance, and safety
• Execute scheduled preventive maintenance programs under service contracts
• Collaborate with the sales team to provide technical solutions
• Share field feedback with product and engineering teams
• Record all activities, and feedback in CRM tools, and generate reports
• Travel domestically and internationally as required

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical / electronics or related fields
• 3–5 years of experience in industrial automation, process instrumentation, or field service
• Solid knowledge of electronics, automation, and instrumentation
• Proficiency in SCADA and PLC software (preferably Codesys, TIA Portal, and WinCC) as well as programming languages such as C++, Python, and JavaScript
• Skilled in electrical panel design and EPLAN project drawings
• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
• Customer-oriented mindset with strong communication abilities
• Proficiency in MS Office applications
• Good command of English (capable of reading technical documents and communicating with customers)
• Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel

Preferred Skills / Nice to Have

• Familiarity with sensor technologies and industrial communication protocols (Profibus, Modbus, Ethernet/IP, etc.)
• Experience with calibration, testing, and measuring instruments
• Experience in service contracts and customer support processes.
