Environmental Engineer

MAT Filtration Technologies was established to provide the highest possible efficiency equipment and services on water filtration technology. Specifically MAT was established in 2012 in Izmir, Turkey and was founded by fish husbandry industry experts. Our expertise in animal husbandry for over 35 years is our biggest competitive advantage. Furthermore we understand animal behavior and we know in depth the operational needs to run properly a facility. Our company develops and tests the equipment performance and ensures its ease of operation on our marine fish quarantine facility in Izmir. In addition we have designed our organisation to deliver successfully and on-time demanding projects in any part of the world. Finally MAT has developed to become a design, manufacturing and contracting leader in the field of MEP (Mechanical, Electrical & Plumbing) and specialty filtration technologies. Currently, we employ over 600 highly-skilled staff of multiple nationalities and 4 factories.

We are looking for a Environmental Engineer with the qualifications below;

Required Qualifications:

Knowledge of wastewater treatment processes

• Activated sludge
• MBR, MBBR
• Chemical treatment (coagulation, flocculation, neutralization)
• Physical treatment (filtration, DAF, etc.)
  

Knowledge of water recovery technologies

• Ultrafiltration (UF)
• Reverse osmosis (RO)
• Advanced oxidation processes (AOP)
• Ion exchange systems

Knowledge of wastewater characterization (COD, BOD, TSS, TN, TP, etc.)

• Process design and calculations
• Ability to read and prepare engineering documents such as P&ID and PFD
• Familiarity with automation and SCADA processes.

Project Management and Field Experience

• Experience in wastewater treatment plant installation, operation, or commissioning
• Experience in planning, surveying, and cost analysis in water recovery projects
• Experience in site inspections, sampling, and laboratory testing
• Contractor and client management skills
• Analytical and Reporting Skills

Process improvement and optimization skills

• Interpreting wastewater analysis results and developing solution proposals
• Ability to prepare technical reports, feasibility reports, and project documentation
• Knowledge of Excel, AutoCAD, and process simulation software

Preferred Qualifications:

• Preferably graduated from Environmental Engineering departments of universities or graduated from Mechanical Engineering,
• Having at least 3 years of experience in filtration equipment, pre-treatment and recovery projects in the industrial field,
• Having a wide network in the country in the field of industrial filtration,
• Proficient in MS Office programs,
• Advanced level of English both verbal & written,
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills,
• Able to produce innovative ideas,
• Prone to teamwork.

Key Responsibilities:

• Making agreements with customers on projects in line with the targets,
• To make and offer the installation of the system, P&ID, flow diagram and hydraulic calculations for the requests from customers within the scope of the project,
• Preparing offers for equipment requests in line with customer approval,
• Conducting necessary field trips and meetings with the customer to create the proposal,
• To prepare the material list according to the content of the project and the discovery work.
• Creating costs by pricing the materials to be used in the project,
• To create man/hour costs for the fieldwork of the project,
• Archiving the bids and evaluating the results,
• To make overseas customer visits when,
• To follow fairs on a sectoral basis,
• To fulfill other duties assigned by the subordinate manager.
