Planlama Müdürü

We are looking for a “Planning Manager” to be assigned to our factory in Kemalpaşa/Izmir, which operates in the machine manufacturing sector based in Switzerland.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering  or a relevant fields,
• Minimum 10 years of experience in Production Planning,
• Experienced in managing planning and inventory/warehouse processes in project-based manufacturing facilities, able to read projects,
• Advanced knowledge and hands-on experience with ERP/MRP systems (Minerva, SAP etc.),
• Extensive experience in production capacity planning and bottleneck management (TOC),
• Experienced in demand forecasting, scenario analysis, and inventory optimization (min–max, safety stock),
• Based on the BOM list from the technical office, prepare the list of materials required for the project and create purchase requests,
• Proficient in scheduling tools (Gantt, CPM, critical path method),
• Knowledgeable in supply chain management principles, bill of materials (BOM), routing, and lead times,
• Advanced proficiency in MS Excel and Power BI for data analysis and reporting,
• Experienced in Lean Manufacturing, Just-in-Time (JIT) and Production Planning & Control (PPC) methodologies,
• Basic financial literacy (inventory cost, cash flow impact),
• Strong leadership, teamwork and team management skills,
• Able to make the right decisions under pressure, disciplined and detail-oriented,
• Strong cross-functional coordination (sales, procurement, production, quality) and communication skills,
• Analytical and systematic thinking with proactive decision-making capabilities,
• Adaptable to change and ambiguity, collaborative and open communicator
• Good proficiency in English,
• Residing in or willing to relocate to İzmir.

Responsibilities:

• Coordinate all activities required for timely and high-efficiency order fulfillment in line with customer requirements (time, quantity, and quality) and manage the planning team,
• Develop production and loading plans that maximize capacity utilization,
• Prepare, monitor, and report on production plans to maintain optimal levels of finished and semi-finished goods inventory,
• Plan material requirements for raw materials, semi-finished goods and critical equipment; manage the procurement process considering lead times,
• Create, track, and report purchase requests,
• Ensure optimal stock levels for raw materials and supplies; manage min–max inventory controls,
• Create work orders based on capacity, lead time, and delivery dates, monitor progress, analyze delays, and report to relevant departments,
• Establishing material management, purchasing, and other workflows in ERP/MRP systems, ensuring the effective operation of digital processes by keeping data up to date,
• Collaborate with consultants, IT and the planning team on ERP/MRP system development to ensure proper system functionality,
• Ensure synchronization and information flow between production, procurement, warehouse, quality control and other departments,
• Prepare project progress reports, identify risks early and provide solutions,
• Identify bottlenecks in production planning and carry out improvement efforts.
• Evaluate scrap analyses and coordinate necessary corrective actions across departments,
• To make recommendations to senior management regarding the development of production methods and processes,
• Measuring, reporting, and ensuring the sustainability of planning processes using statistical techniques,
• Provide the necessary support for the Quality Management System, implement procedures and processes related to the department, and ensure that records are kept.
• Periodically monitor and evaluate demand and production planning and report to senior management.
