JOB SUMMARY                                                                                                                                        As a member of the hotel staff, contributes advanced knowledge and skill in technology and general hospitality business knowledge to support the hotel and technology Information Resources objectives. Position is responsible to the hotel for all technology planning, implementation, and maintenance. May manage hotel systems technicians and interfaces with vendors, owners, Executive Committee and hotel staff. Assist management in training, evaluating, counseling, and motivating employees; serve as a role model and first point of contact of the Guarantee of Fair Treatment/Open Door Policy process. Follow all company policies and procedures; maintain confidentiality of proprietary information; protect company assets. Anticipate and address guests’ service needs. Speak with others using clear and professional language; prepare and review written documents accurately and completely; answer telephones using appropriate etiquette. Develop and maintain positive working relationships with others. Ensure adherence to quality expectations and standards. Read and visually verify information; stand, sit, or walk for an extended period of time. Move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing less than or equal to 10 pounds without assistance. Perform other reasonable job duties as requested by Assistant Director of Finance and Director of Finance.

QUALIFICATIONS:

 Essential:

·         Ability to be a clear forward thinker, analyze and resolve problems using good judgment under pressure situations

·         Ability to focus on details, analyze and resolve numerical problems.

·         Ability to work with constant interruptions and maintain a calm, pleasant and professional attitude.

·         Ability to ensure confidentiality of pertinent hotel data/information.

·         Ability to work without direct supervision.

·         Possess a good command of the English language and the ability to clearly and pleasantly communicate with guests and vendors, both in person and by telephone.

 

Desirable:

·         College Degree equivalent required

·         System-related professional certifications desired.

·         Ability to maintain hotel’s standards, policies and procedures

·         Fluency in English language – both written and spoken

·         Ability to multi task and take on cross functional tasks when required

·         Ability to direct and supervise others

·         Ability to train and develop others

·         Ability to focus attention on details and be able to organize, prioritize, and follow up.

·         Must be able to take initiative and work productively within any given period of time, unsupervised. Should be aggressive and must work well under pressure.

·         Must be a team player, working well with other departments and coworkers.

·         Ability to coherently present information in front of groups.

·         Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and evenings, if necessary.

·         Should be creative, innovative and strive for continuous improvement.

·         Should display leadership qualities in regards to thinking clearly, quickly, and making decisions.

·         Ability to prioritize and organize work assignments.

·         Ability to be a clear thinker, analyze and resolve problems exercising good judgment.

·         Ability to remain calm and courteous with demanding /difficult guests and /or situations.

·         Knowledge of hardware and software.

·         Knowledge of hotel operation.

·         Posses a good command of the English language and the ability to clearly and pleasantly communicate with guests, both in person and by telephone.
