Site Engineer - Geotechnical Drilling Works

We are looking for a qualified team member to join our company as a Field Coordination Supervisor within the scope of ourGeotechnical Works Department, for our upcominggeotechnical drilling projects in the World.

The successful candidate will be responsible for the coordination, supervision, technical follow-up and reporting of geotechnical drilling activities at site.

General Qualifications

Candidates are expected to have the following qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Geological Engineering or Civil Engineering,

• Strong knowledge and practical experience in geotechnical drilling works,

• Ability to coordinate and supervise drilling activities effectively at site,

• Good command of English, both written and spoken,

• Ability to prepare borehole logs, drilling records, daily field reports and technical documentation,

• Capability to prepare and/or support the preparation of geotechnical investigation reports based on site data,

• Valid Class B driving licence, with at least 3 years of active driving experience,

• No restriction for domestic or international travel,

• Ability to adapt to flexible working hours and challenging site conditions,

• Strong communication, coordination and team management skills,

• Strong problem-solving, analytical thinking and decision-making abilities,

• Ability to organize and follow up both site and office-related operational activities,

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs,

• Preferably experienced in ground improvement works and geotechnical investigation drilling.

Job Description

The selected candidate will be responsible for:

• Coordinating daily geotechnical drilling operations at site,

• Following up drilling teams, equipment, consumables and site activities in accordance with the project schedule,

• Ensuring that drilling works are carried out in compliance with project requirements, technical specifications and HSE standards,

• Monitoring borehole progress, drilling depths, sampling intervals and field test requirements,

• Preparing and checking borehole logs, daily drilling reports and field documentation,

• Following up core recovery, SPT tests, sampling, groundwater observations and other geotechnical field procedures,

• Providing technical input for geotechnical investigation reports,

• Coordinating communication between the employer, consultant, subcontractors and internal project team,

• Organizing material, equipment and personnel requirements at site,

• Reporting site progress, technical issues and operational needs to the project management team,

• Supporting the successful execution of the project in terms of time, quality, safety and technical compliance.

Preferred Experience

Experience in the following fields will be considered an advantage:

• Geotechnical investigation drilling,

• Rotary core drilling,

• SPT and sampling operations,

• Borehole logging and geotechnical reporting,

• Ground improvement works,

• Grouting, jet grouting or similar soil improvement methods,

• International project experience.
